Are You Listening To Me?

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and as you were speaking, you got the feeling they weren’t really listening? You’ve been tuned out! Maybe it was from your husband, wife, friend, etc.

It can be aggravating, upsetting, and sometimes it can even start an argument.

We all need someone to listen to us. You may have even thought, “Is there anyone that even cares what I have to say?”

The answer is “Yes there is!”

Listen to what Psalms 116: 1-2 has to say:

“I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” (One version says He bends down to listen).

These two verses really got my attention! So, not only does He listen to our pleas, He bends down to listen!

He wants to hear every word! He cares what we have to say to Him and what is on our hearts.

Even though our eartly friends and family may ignore us occasionally, our God is ALWAYS waiting to hear from us.

“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13

It’s a comforting thought that God is ready to listen to us anytime, whether first thing in the morning or the midnight hour when our heart is troubled and we can’t sleep.

He WANTS us to confide in Him and He will ease our minds.
